Thank you to everyone who participated in the hike today, we are very impressed with the routes which you have all walked. You should all be very proud of your achievement. A big shout out to all of the leaders and helpers who looked after their teams, well done. A special message of thanks must be shouted from the rooftops to all of the leaders who have quietly worked so hard behind the scenes to enable a safe return to face to face scouting.

It was a frantic job in the bunker capturing screen shots flying here and there, we have done our very best to get the results right. Please remember this was just for fun, and bragging rights. Though some of the results were very close! We have taken the data at face value, also consider that the technology isn’t perfect. If you think we have got your results wrong, drop a copy of your screen shot to web@downsman.com and we will investigate.

Results were captured as described before (in meters) ascent * 8 + distance travelled, therefore all distances have been converted to meters and had the formula applied to work out a points score which has been rounded to 2 decimal places.

Congratulations to everyone who took part, medals will be finding their way to you as a reward for taking part in ‘the most strange’ Downsman. SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!
