We are still in need of volunteers for the following checkpoints/road crossings/start points (be advised that the checkpoint closing times that are indicated are very approximate and will be entirely dependent upon the pace of the last team).
A29 road crossing between Bignor and Amberley  – 2 people needed. 06:00 – 10:30ish.
Amberley checkpoint – 1 more person needed- 06:15 – 11:50ish
Upper Beeding checkpoint and road crossing – 1 or 2 more people needed 08:30 – 14:30ish.
Saddlescombe crossing – 2 people to staff road crossing east of Devil’s Dyke. 09:30 – 15:30ish.
Pycombe Road Crossing and checkpoint – 1 more person to assist here. 09:30 – 16:30ish.
Ditchling Beacon checkpoint and Road Crossing – 1 more person to assist here. 09:45 – 17:30ish.
Jevington checkpoint – We have daytime staff available that cannot stay late. Looking for minimum of 2 volunteers to take over for the night shift from late evening into early hours. Difficult to predict a closing time here, last year it closed on Sunday morning at approx 02:00 but it could close much earlier or conversely it could be later!
Plumpton College start point  – new start point and HQ for this year. Start Point Helpers: From 07:30 – 12:30 – Need some extra people to help check-in teams to keep things running smoothly and dispatch teams as quickly as possible, perhaps make a cuppa or two and helping with parking. HQ Helpers: For the duration of the event, using shifts, from early morning until the last team reaches Eastbourne (predicted to be into the early hours of Sunday morning), we are looking for a few more volunteers to help monitor the teams progress via GPS tracking data, be point of contact for our checkpoint staff and help to manage or escalate any issues.  We are planning to allocate people to monitor a portion of the course, so could use people at varying times of day/evening/night, so if you can spare some time please let us know your availability.

We also have other tasks that we would appreciate some help with, so even if you can only commit a couple or so spare hours and are able to help out, we would love to hear from you.
